It’s hard to believe when the cold weather keeps persisting, but summer is right around the corner here in Michigan. And that means it’s almost time for the Huss Project Farmer’s Market! The market will once again happen every Saturday, 9:00am to 1:00pm from June through September and will feature fresh, local produce, baked goods, kids activities, farm tours, bike tune-ups, and more every week. We’re also adding Second Saturday markets this year, which will feature art vendors and other special activities four times throughout the season.
We are currently accepting vendor applications for produce vendors, Cottage Food vendors (syrup, honey, baked goods, etc.), and art vendors. You can find all the details in our Market Policies, but here’s the basics: we’re looking for local vendors who are growing or making their own high quality products to contribute to an inclusive, beautiful, community-oriented market. Are you interested? Get in touch with any questions or submit your application today!
The Huss Project Farmer’s Market is committed to connecting neighbors with delicious food and making the food as accessible as we can to everyone in our city. We accept cash, credit cards, SNAP/Bridge cards, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project Fresh coupons, Senior Project Fresh coupons, and Huss Project Fresh Food cards. On the third Saturday of every month, we also host the Fresh Food Initiative in partnership with the South Michigan Food Bank, which provides free fresh food to anyone in need.
