A *culture is not optional project
The Huss Project has hosted a number of church and college groups, as well as individual visitors and summer interns, who desire to learn about community development through the intersection of service and education. Whether groups visit for a few hours or a few months, they learn about the demographics and history of Three Rivers and how *culture is not optional is approaching its role as a participant in shaping our community through the Huss Project. Service groups have given their time for a wide range of activities, including demolition, playing with neighborhood kids, weeding the community garden, canvassing for special events, mapping our trees and mowing the lawn. *cino seeks to root all of these hands-on activities in our core values of compassionate listening, creative collaboration and faithful presence. If you have a group that would like to explore service-learning through the Huss Project, please contact us!
