Contemplate with me

Contemplate with me

Last month, artist Jay Howard created a participatory art piece called “Contemplate with me” in one of the rooms at the Huss Project.  Using space heaters and hot coffee to stay warm (the building doesn’t have heat), Jay invited folks into his temporary studio to consider together the meaning and function behind public spaces, private spaces and how the two intersect.  Filmmaker David Boeckel filmed the opening and created the short film above.

As we continue to work toward the vision of the Huss Project, the interaction between public and private space is a live conversation that will have significant influence over how we design the building spaces and the land around the building.  We hope Jay’s experience will provided additional perspective to our continually evolving ideas!
