Art is a key element of Future Fest, and you won’t want to miss out on this year’s art experience!
Throughout the day there will be live music from some talented community groups and lovely guests. Listen, dance, and enjoy the joyful noise from the morning into the late afternoon.
We have a special project that we want you to be a part of this year: we are going to collaboratively paint a peace pole for the Huss Garden! This is a simple and fun way to contribute beauty to our space. There will also be an option to create smaller peace poles to take home to your own gardens.
Two local artists have offered to lead interactive art demonstrations. Lynn Johnson will be leading a watercolor demo with bookmarks and magnets, and Gail Walters will be leading a nature-inspired art piece. Both of these demos are structured for all ages. For the kiddos specifically, there will be a bubble-paint project that will they can take home with them. No matter your age or skill level, come flex your creative muscles in the art tent!
Inside Huss we will have a art gallery displaying local artwork and craftsmanship. Many of these artists are graciously selling their work for full or partial donation to Huss. Come see the local talent and support The Huss Project by taking home some artwork!
We also have a special part of the art gallery you’ll want to come see. This summer we handed out ten cameras to kids in our neighborhood. These young photographers attended a photography class at Huss and were encouraged to photograph things that are special to them in Three Rivers. There will be a photograph from each child in the gallery and a silent auction component. Celebrate young talent with us!
We have a new photo booth this year that will be open all day, complete with props and dress-up gear. Whether you wait for the photos to go online or print them directly at the booth, these are a fun way to be goofy and commemorate the day. Come ready to show off your silly poses!
