Future Fest preview: Food!

Food

Food

Here at the Huss Project, we love food! All through the day on July 19, enjoy the colorful variety of tasty things to eat. Looking for a sweet treat to start the morning? Stop by the coffee house for homemade baked goods and delicious beverages, including specialty coffee made while you wait.

When your tummy rumbles around lunchtime, choose from three food vendors. At the Three Rivers Area Faith Community Fish Fry, the proceeds from your meal of fish, fries, and bread support future Back to School Celebration events, which provides kids with the school supplies they need to succeed. Check out the Triple Ripple Community Garden food tent, where they’ll be grilling bratwurst and serving up fresh veggies and salads. These proceeds go toward the Triple Ripple Community Garden (located at the Huss Project; feel free to wander through while you’re here!), which grows and distributes healthy produce to the places it’s needed most.  Also, this year we’ll be joined by the ever-popular Weenie King with their signature hot dogs and myriad toppings. Bringing a friend or two? Support these different vendors and share your meals with each other!

Thanks to the multitude of generous farmers in our community, you’ll find fresh, locally-grown produce at the Farmers Market tent, open all day. When the afternoon hits, head back to the coffee house and bake sale for a pick-me-up!

Are you hungry yet?
