Eater’s Almanac: Welcome to the 2021 market season!

Farmer's Market

Eater’s Almanac is our weekly newsletter for the Huss Project Farmer’s Market. You can receive a print copy each week at the market, which includes a recipe for seasonal vegetables!

Welcome to the 2021 market season. This is our second year hosting a Farmer’s Market at the Huss Project!

While we appear to be heading in the right direction with fewer COVID cases and deaths, we continue to practice several COVID safety precautions at the market. Masks are not required for outdoor markets this year, but our staff will continue to wear them occassionally when it seems appropriate. We still have our online store with curbside pickup, but we are no longer requiring a single flow of traffic through the market this year. Thank you for your help navigating these unprecedented times!

This year, we’ve added more grocery items from World Fare, the nonprofit, community-run fair trade and grocery store in downtown Three Rivers. This means you’ll be able to grab milk, cheese, meat, condiments, and more at the market. We hope this provides a convenient avenue for you to purchase groceries in an outdoor space and to support a local business in the process.

We’re also hosting activities for children during the market on our urban farm. Hands-on activities for children ages 3-12 and their adult caregivers will be avaible June-September. In July and August, from 10:00-11:00am, we’ll host a Children’s Nature Hour featuring storytelling, art, garden activities, a nature walk, and more.

Thank you for supporting local farms with your purchase today!
