What is your connection to Huss?
I attended Huss from 1968 to 1974.
The Huss Project is working on turning the old kindergarten room into a cool new space with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and room for community events. What’s your most creative idea for something that could happen there?
Please visit Otsego’s library to see how they inspire imagination! You need to take a field trip to see how they inspire kids. I would love to see a child-sized entryway (think Alice in Wonderland) next to the grownup entryway. Also, how about a round window well big enough for a child to crawl inside and read while looking outdoors? Add to this a small room for nursing moms and infants (see the house in the library in Otsego for inspiration). Add a glass case for rotating displays by guest contributors. Finally, how about a slide for the kids to go back down to the main floor? And one more idea: Adopt a stair. For a donation of any size, you can choose a name of your favorite friend, tv or movie character, book character (name is subject to approval to avoid offensive or curse words), painted on the kickplate (front) of each step.
