Hussagram: Good fences make good scrap

Removing fence!

Removing fence

This past Tuesday, the staff of the Calvin College Service-Learning Center joined us at the Huss Project as part of their orientation process.  We are always honored by their annual visits to Three Rivers as it’s a joy to host such wonderful, helpful, thoughtful people for a day to tell stories about how we got here, why we stay and what the vision is for the future of the Huss Project.  The S-LC staff graciously pitched in with a number of tasks, including distributing items remaining from our rummage sale to local agencies, weeding the community garden, edging the lawn.  Perhaps the most dramatic task was taking out a portion of the old chain link fence, which liberated a beautiful tree and continued to move us forward in creating a hospitable, welcoming space for our community.
