Let May 3, 2013 go down in history as the date that *culture is not optional met its matching donation goal a whole 12 days early! Our Brick Campaign donations last Friday not only reached our goal of matching a $4,500 commitment from an anonymous donor by May 15, but they exceeded the goal to the point that we’ve now raised a total of $35,000! Our June 15 mortgage deadline is in close proximity, but so is the $50,000 goal.
Thank you for your encouragement in all of the many forms it’s taken — donations, prayers, notes, spreading the word… You people just keep amazing us with your generous, hopeful spirits and we head into this weekend’s community garden planting day and Underground Supper Club reinvigorated with joy!
